Our high-school program, Rosie Innovators, enables us to continue to build upon the trust and long-term relationships established with young women and their families, creating our very own, STEM pipeline that runs from preschool to college.

The program is open to young women in 10th and 11th grade in the fall of 2023. We'll meet on Monday evenings at a metro-accessible location in Arlington, VA starting in September 2023, and in-person attendance is required to participate in the program. There will also be at least two Saturday events (date and time TBD).

So what is Rosie Innovators? Our program was designed by a former college admissions professional to prepare young women interested in STEM for college and careers in the field. In 2023-24, we’ll be focusing on becoming a member of the STEM community - from meeting real women in STEM and hearing their stories, to developing soft skills - improving written and oral communication, preparing effective resumes, learning how to network, navigating failure etc. - that are essential to success in STEM.

Each monthly meeting will also include a Women in STEM speaker who will share how the meeting's topic has impacted her STEM journey!

We’ll also be supporting each participant in crafting their own opportunities in STEM - from applying to internships and summer programs to preparing college applications. As one 2022-23 participant described the program, “I would like to thank you for a great year in the Rosie Innovators program. I have really enjoyed this experience and the wonderful connections it has given me. I feel much more prepared and confident for my future in STEM because of the vast resources, events, and connections you have provided me with.”

Applications for the 2023-24 program have closed. Please check back in May 2024 to apply for the 2024-2025 cohort of Rosie Innovators.
