ROSIE STEM KITS & EVENTS 2024 PROGRAM REACH

SOUNDING OFF WITH STEM: ROSIE RIVETERS & PROAV INDUSTRY PARTNERSHIP

Through our partnership with the ProAV industry, Rosie Riveters has brought the science of sound to life for over 3,000 students across six states. Our collaborative program allows students to build their own harmonicas, engaging them in a fun, hands-on lesson on sound waves. With the support of ProAV partners, we've equipped young minds with the tools to explore acoustics, while fostering an inclusive environment that encourages all students to dive into STEM. This initiative not only amplifies the joy of learning but also showcases the impact of creative collaborations in expanding STEM education.

ROSIE EXPLORES MANUFACTURING KITS: EMPOWERING SCOUTS NATIONWIDE

With over 600 kits delivered to Florida's Girl Scouts, our Rosie Explores Manufacturing initiative has been a resounding success. Troop leaders are unanimous in their feedback: 100% surveyed shared that their Scouts thoroughly enjoyed the activities. These kits not only introduce girls to manufacturing careers but also bolster critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Encouraged by this positive reception and determined to broaden our impact, we're excited to extend this program to Alabama and Massachusetts. Join us in inspiring the next generation of STEM leaders.

SCHOOL STEM DAY IGNITES CREATIVITY AND LEARNING

During our 2nd annual STEM Day at P.S. 218 Rafael Hernández Dual Language School in New York, we brought hands-on STEM learning to life. Eighth grade students dived into the worlds of circuits and centripetal force by building their own Spin Art Machines. This engaging project not only illuminated STEM careers but also allowed students to explore the fascinating science behind art.

The day marked another successful step in our ongoing partnership with the school, demonstrating our commitment to integrating real-world STEM projects into the classroom.

We were honored to be joined by leaders from the NYC Department of Education and the Rafael Hernández community, including District 9 Superintendent Harry Sherman, Principal Dr. Sergio Caceres, Assistant Principal Ms. Elvia Núñez, and educator extraordinaire Edith Faragi.
